Korinne
A story teller at heart, Korinne Meier is passionate and unremitting about the art of filmmaking. She started as a classically trained theatre actress, performing in such illustrious venues as the Kennedy Center (Washington D.C.), Abrons Arts Center (New York), and The RedCat Theatre (Los Angeles). By the time she graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts from the prestigious California Institute of the Arts, Korinne had also written several scripts. She obtained a literary agent and had a Jazz period piece script shopped around Hollywood. Her keen writing landed her on the set of ABC Family’s drama Lincoln Heights, shadowing the executive producer and showrunner. After that unique opportunity, it solidified her burgeoning desire to be the artistic visionary behind the camera, not just in front.
She continued to sharpen her directing and cinematography skills with the post-Civil War short drama Hidden in My Heart. Most recently her short film Nostalgia won Best Cinematography at the 2014 Made in Charlotte film contest. Her film company 18Hundred Films is now busy in preproduction for an upcoming web series and she currently has a feature film in development. When not on the set, Korinne enjoys cooking and decorating Rice Krispies houses with her kids, and taking long walks with her husband.
